2009 Silk Road Gala
The Silk Road Gala is the annual fundraising benefit for the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK). The Gala tradition began in 1994 in efforts to fund ATASK’s first Asian shelter, the only one in New England. ATASK is a private, non-profit organization, which caters to over 300 battered Asian families and children every year. Donations raised through the gala assist those whose lives were affected by violence, provide help to become productive and self-sufficient members of society.
