The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK) is dedicated to preventing domestic violence in Asian families and communities, and providing hope to survivors. At this year's Silk Road Gala, ATASK celebrates the 20th Anniversary of our emergency shelter, New England’s only for pan-Asian families and communities. As in past years, the Gala will be an opportunity for our community of supporters to gather together in good company for great food in a beautiful setting.
Individual tickets are now available for $200 per person. Click here to purchase through the ATASK donations page. Select "One-Time" to proceed to the payment form. If purchasing more than two tickets, please use the variable-amount box.
Suggested attire is culturally-festive or black tie optional. This is a masquerade event and if you would like to participate masks will be available, but guests are encouraged to bring their own.
This year the Gala will begin with a reception and guest chef stations similar to past years, followed by a seated dinner and program, then dessert stations at the conclusion.
Another change for the 2014 Silk Road Gala is that our auction is all online. To participate in the auction you will need to first be registered with the BiddingForGood webpage. Click here if you are not already registered, or proceed directly to the ATASK BiddingForGood homepage to view what is available in our auction. Once logged in, you can bid from your computer or the mobile-optimized BiddingForGood site on your mobile device.
Those bidders who log on and bid on one of our offered items before October 15 will be entered into a raffle to win a pair of tickets to the 2014-2015 season of the New Repertory Theatre. Items will continute to be added between now and the Gala, so please check back. Some items will be closing at the end of the Gala on the evening of November 1st, and the remaining items will close on November 3. Look for some items to be on display at the Gala for you to inspect, bid on, and to take home that night.
