Callers to ATASK receive crisis intervention, safety planning, emotional support, and information about domestic violence and restraining orders. All calls are completely confidential. Callers may be referred to our community-based advocates who can assist with legal advocacy, housing, medical referrals, life skills classes and other services.

This 24-hour helpline will connect you directly with an ATASK employee or volunteer who will:

  • Answer your questions
  • Help you develop a safety plan
  • Provide instructions for getting emergency help, such as our emergency shelter
  • Point you towards resources inside or outside ATASK

All conversations on our helpline are confidential.

Calling our helpline is the first step toward helping yourself or someone you know escape a dangerous or violent situation with an abusive partner.  Our team has been trained to help you and can speak over 20 different Asian languages.

Our 24-hour multilingual helpline is often the first point of access to our services. Trained staff advocates and volunteers speak over 20 Asian languages and dialects including Arabic, Bangla, Cantonese, Chiu Chau/Teochew, Filipino, Gujarati, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Mandarin, Manipuri, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Thai, Taishanese, Taiwanese, Toisanese, Urdu, and  Vietnamese (as of October 2022) This complements the State’s 800-line which does not offer Asian language capability or cultural sensitivity.
